One-to-One Meditation Mentorship

Individual support for your meditation practice, wherever you are in it.

A Space for Your Practice

Sometimes our meditation practice needs a little individual attention.

You might be completely new to meditation and unsure where to begin. You might have been practicing for years and find yourself stuck, curious, or moving through something that you would like to explore with a teacher. Or maybe a group simply isn't what you need right now.

One-to-one sessions give us space to slow down, talk about what is happening in your practice and your life, and explore together what might support you.

What Happens in a Session?

There isn't a formula.

We begin with where you are.

Depending on what you bring, our time together might include meditation, conversation, reflection, mindfulness or compassion practices, exploration of Buddhist teachings, or simply getting curious together about what you're noticing.

Sometimes we practice together.

Sometimes we talk much more than we meditate.

Often, it's a little of both.

My role isn't to tell you how your meditation practice should look. It's to listen, ask questions, offer guidance from my own training and practice, and help you discover what supports your practice in your actual life.

Who Is One-to-One For?

You don't need to be an experienced meditator.

One-to-one sessions can be helpful if you are:

  • completely new to meditation and would like some personal guidance

  • returning to meditation after time away

  • having difficulty establishing or maintaining a practice

  • neurodivergent and finding traditional meditation instructions aren't quite working for you

  • interested in deepening an existing meditation practice

  • curious about Insight Meditation or Buddhist teachings

  • working with something that is arising in your practice and would benefit from individual attention

  • simply more comfortable exploring meditation one-to-one than in a group

You also don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you need.

“I'm not really sure, but I'd like to talk about my practice” is a perfectly good place to begin.

Meditation Mentorship, Not Therapy

Meditation can bring us into contact with very tender parts of being human, and those experiences are welcome in our conversations.

At the same time, one-to-one meditation mentorship is not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, or medical care.

My role is that of a meditation teacher and mentor. When something falls outside the scope of meditation mentorship, I will always encourage you to seek support from an appropriately qualified professional.

What I Bring

I have practiced meditation since 2013 and completed the two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach through the Awareness Training Institute, in partnership with UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center.

My practice is rooted in Insight Meditation and the Buddhist tradition and continues to deepen through ongoing practice, study, retreats, and mentorship.

I also bring more than two decades of experience as an educator—and my own experience as a neurodivergent practitioner.

Most importantly, I bring curiosity.

You don't have to perform meditation for me. You don't have to be “good” at it.

We get to explore what's actually happening.

Meeting Together

One-to-one sessions are available online / in person / both and generally last 50 minutes.

Sliding Scale

Supported Rate — $50
For those who would benefit from a lower-cost option.

Standard Rate — $75
The standard rate for a One-to-One session.

Community Support Rate — $100
For those who have the capacity to contribute more, helping support greater accessibility for others.

Please choose whichever amount feels most accessible and appropriate for you—no explanation needed.

You can meet with me once, occasionally when something arises in your practice, or more regularly for ongoing mentorship. There is no requirement to commit to a certain number of sessions.

Let's Connect

If you're interested in meeting one-to-one, send me an email and tell me a little about yourself, your experience with meditation (if any), and what you're hoping for from our time together.

You don't need to write anything elaborate. A few sentences is plenty.
